Maternity information and pricing guide

This guide aims to provide you with detailed information on the different types of maternity sessions offered and associated pricing so you can make an informed decision. I know you had unlimited options when it came to choosing a photographer suited to your needs, so it means the world to me that you considered Moments to Memories to document one of the most important times in your lives.

Falling pregnant is so exciting and it is amazing how our bodies can adapt and nurture a new life. Not every pregnant lady feels amazing, after all it is tiring growing a little human and juggling everyday life. Although you may not feel the best, I promise you that you will not regret capturing this special moment in your life. Maternity sessions are held when you are anywhere from 28-34 weeks gestation. I like to photograph maternity sessions at this gestation when most women are still feeling good about the way they look, rather than at the end of your pregnancy when your not feeling yourself.

Deposit

To secure your session with Moments to Memories, a $150.00 deposit is due upon booking. Your deposit secures the date and time you have chosen so no one else can book that time

Your deposit amount will come off the total amount of your digital collections package.

Locations

When I launched Moments to Memories I knew it was going to be essential to have the perfect locations to host my maternity sessions. A place where mums feel comfortable capturing such special moments that will soon become memories. Depending what style you are after I have a variety of locations to suit everyone. These are some locations I like to do my maternity sessions at, but if you have a particular location you would like your session to take place at I am more than happy to do that. My locations include, the beach, a beach with mainly rocks, the pine forest, a long grass field and I can also do milk baths.

Styling your session

I have a heap of dresses and throw overs that you are more than welcome to use. You can also bring your own clothes and a matching bra and undies or swimmers if you would like to wear them in a few photos. I can send you images of my client closet before your session so you can choose which ones you would like me to bring along.

Planning for your maternity session

SCHEDULING

I typically book out anywhere between 1-3 months in advance. It is highly recommended to book your maternity session early on in your pregnancy. This guarantees your session and secures a date.

PAYMENT

A session fee is due upon booking your session. Your chosen digital collection package is due the day before your session. You’ll receive an invoice for both payments. Additional digital images can be ordered and paid for after your session date.

WHAT TO BRING

1. Bra and undies you may want to wear
2. Any dresses you may want to wear
3. Towel incase you get wet at the beach sessions
4. Spare clothes incase you get wet at the beach session

WHAT TO WEAR

Wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident. If the whole family is being photographed try and coordinate your colours so you are all wearing the same tones. For siblings - match to mum and dad so everything is coordinating.

Preparing for your maternity session

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

Sessions are in the afternoon just before sunset so we can get the perfect lighting, we will arrange a time closer to your session depending on when the sun is setting. Before the shoot I will be in contact with you as to which location you would like and if you would like to use any pieces from our client closet.

DURING YOUR SESSION

Once we arrive at the location we will get straight into it, I do a variety of full length and close up pictures. I will normally photograph the whole family first incase you have young kids that might get distracted, then they can go and play with dad. I will then photograph mum on her own and capture some stunning photos that you will treasure forever.

AFTER YOUR SESSION

1-2 edited sneak peek photos from your session will be posted on my social media or sent to you by the end of the day. After 1-2 weeks, you will get to choose your favourite images from an online gallery that is protected for your eyes only (and other family members if you wish). Photos in this gallery are raw and unedited. If you wish to upgrade your collection to include extra images, this is your opportunity to do so.

Once you are happy with your choices I will then spend the next 2 weeks editing and putting the finishing touches on your images. This includes exposure edits, colour edits and skin retouching etc. Your finished gallery will then be ready for digital download. The whole process usually takes between 2-4 weeks which can fluctuate depending on how busy my schedule is.
